31 May INCENSE HOLDER WORKSHOP
Incense holders created by 11-12 years old Saigon Star International School’s students following the topic -symmetry and colours. The main idea was to keep symmetry in their artworks, learning how to measure and feel it. An object exhibits symmetry if it looks the same after a transformation, such as reflection or rotation.
Regarding colours students have been learning how to add vitality by darkening/lightening colours with glitter, colourful powder and acrylic paint. The principal material used in the workshop was polymer clay. In addition to polymer clay students used metal beads to decorate and give extra meaning to their artworks. The colourful workshop took place in Ho Chi Minh City and it took around 3 hours to complete these beautiful incense holders.
Please enjoy artworks made by 11-12 years old students, their performing art teacher Mr. Stephen and myself.
